Talented and fresh-faced Krisha Gardner, born into a close-knit musical family of Jamaican origin, began to sing at the tender age of 3. Her immediate immersion in music was thanks to her father's passion for R&B, Gospel, Dancehall and Pop, and her singing began when inspired by En Vogue's "Hold On".
A born entertainer, the young Krisha performed wherever she went to anybody who wanted to be entertained, and she soon began entering and winning talent shows with her energetic dancing
Her more serious approach to music came at the age of 11, when touched by Mariah Carey's cover of Harry Nilssons "Without You." This song encouraged Krisha to begin writing her own songs and she soon penned her first, "Love, be mine." From then everywhere Krisha went her music book went with her, drawing on the influences of artists such as Aretha Franklin, Mary J Blige and MC Hammer
